Lockbox and Other Stuff

Just had to report that today, July 18th--1 1/2 months after moving into our house, the seller's realtor FINALLY removed the lockbox from our front door! Now we don't have to feel like we broke into a vacant house for sale and moved in.

Jumble returned from girl's camp this morning. When I went to pick her up, all the girls called goodbye to her and one of the leaders came over to tell me they were so glad she came--and that she had been great to be with all week. Then Jumble herself chatted happily to me all the way home about some of the things she had been doing, instead of sitting in stony silence. So that was a good sign that it went well. Then when one of the leaders said they were so glad she had decided to come to camp with them, Jumble said, "I'm glad I went, too!" Enthusiastically. Whew! Are we ever glad. We still wish the Lehi Ward girl's camp hadn't been the same week so she could have gone to it, too. But at least she has been able to bond with the girls and leaders in our new ward. She conked out on my bed this afternoon and is still asleep so I guess they wore her out.

This last week Minnie dragged me to the mall. I know, I'm supposed to love shopping (given my gender) but for some reason I didn't get that gene. I HATE shopping--all kinds! I just want the things I need to show up in my closet/pantry/where ever I need them. I get no joy in going out to search for things. My experiences reinforce my hatred. I have been looking for a simple white blouse and a pair of blue capri pants for years. I am not exaggerating--at least 2 years. You would think these are basic clothing items--easy to find. Not for me! Well, as long as I was being miserable at the mall, I decided to once again look for my two items. And what do you know--I found them both! At the same store--the first one I went to. So why did it take two years? I don't know but I am happy.

It is so great to read your blog and catch up on your family. I hardly recognize the kids. They have really grown. Paige recently updated our blog with our niece Kenzlie. She is the daughter of Melisha Pew. I don't know how often you talk to that side of the family and thought you might enjoy the pictures. Take care.
